Hey Folks,

Nick Goncalves hit 2 Rodeos this weekend.  Well 1 Rodeo and 1 PBR event!

The first was in Kitchener, ON at the Case IH Ultimate Rodeo on Friday night!  He drew a bull known well to Ontario Ram and Ultimate Tour riders called Hot Shot!  Checkin’ all excuses at the gate…Nick gave try, but came down early!

Shakin’ off the buck off from Friday night, Nick showed up in London, ON ready to ride the bull named “Eye Cloud”.  For many of the Ontario Cowboys, very few have ever made it to this level of an event or had the opportunity to share the chutes with some of the top 35 in the World…and this was it!!  This is their chance to make big money fast and set them up to ride the confidence wave onto the next, but most importantly to be noticed by young cowboys looking for a local role model, fans and friends alike!!  TV cameras, big name announcers and a crowd of folks raisin’ the roof off of the Budweiser Gardens was adding to the pressure!  However, being a Bull Rider, day in and day out you must overcome and push aside many negative thoughts (of being stepped on, hung up, ran over, etc….which all carry very serious repercussions) before even thinking about climbing into the chutes with up to a 2000lbs beast built for buckin’, so the “Big Lights” pressure has little to no effect!   Once Nick nodded he was ready for the rare up, ready to post up off his pockets and get out over the top with anticipation of the drop from “Eye Cloud’s” first buck….unfortunately, “Eye Cloud” didn’t perform as expected and instead of launching up, he shot out on a straight line…not allowing Nick to ever get posted over the front……keeping him laid back, arm extended with no advantage of being able to prepare f0r any sudden left or right motion, let alone a mid air half kick rollin’ to the left……….and unfortunately Nick bucked off!  But it was NOT for the lack of try!

We’re still pumped for Nick to be living his dream!!  We’re ready to live it right along side and find out what it’s like to make it to the top!!  We’re riding your coat tails (or Chap tassels) Nick, LET’S GO!!!

September 10th @ 2pm – Ram Rodeo Tour – New Tecumseh (Alliston), ON, Canada

September 10th @ 7:30pm – PBR Monster Energy Tour in Hamilton, ON, Canada

September 11th @ 3:30pm – Rawhide Rodeo Tour – Western Fair – London, ON, Canada

Front row right beside the chutes is Liz and Alex Vanevery, Jennifer and Todd Millard and Bill and Kevin Cron!!  There was more than 10 Redneck Country Real Rednecks in the stands supporting Nick Goncalves all throughout the arena!!  Thank you to all of Redneck Country for coming out and supporting!!
